A Look Into The Maiden’s Journey
“The maiden of the sea would come to splash at ocean’s edge
Beneath a weeping willow tree near the ivy cottage ledge
The willow tree stood tall and strong, sipping from a stream
Cradling like a lover, the mermaid while she dreamed”
(Excerpt from “The Maiden’s Journey”)
Through unwavering hope, faith, love, and against all earthly odds, divine intervention bestows upon a young sea maiden a magnificent transformation. In the classical tradition of literary excellence, these poems are reminiscent of many faerie tales of long ago. The reader will travel through mystical stories of beauty, magic, and miracles, that transcend ordinary reality.
Magical Inspiration
The inspiration for words and ideas often comes at the most unexpected moments of one’s daily life. It may come in dreams, daydreams, or feelings of overwhelming divine intervention. To be an artist of the pen, one must respond to these calls of inspiration. They are happening for a serendipitous reason. Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, write them down. They will begin to flow and materialize with a glowing energy on your pages. They are wanting to come to life. It is no matter how long or quickly it takes, they will eventually breathe life into the pages of a living book! This is what they want. This is what they need.
Fulfilling Dreams with Balboa
Balboa Press came to me at a time when my words were sleepily tucked away in long forgotten boxes. But they were never forgotten, were they? When I started receiving messages from the company, my heart would race, my eyes would twinkle, and I thought, “Could it be true?” After talking with a few Balboa Press people, I knew. I knew this was my dream calling after many, many, years.
All the people of Balboa Press are kind, compassionate, and so very helpful. They are all of the highest order of professionalism. I have been a professional educator for 20 years, teaching high school and college, and I am confident to accurately surmise the integrity and good will of this company. I hope in the years to come I can grow and continue in many ways with Balboa Press.
“Dreamers know dreams are real
And life a fragile mirror
God is always helping
To reflect the image clear
And broken hearts can heal
When hope is truly real”
(Excerpt from “The Swan Who Lived”)
