From time to time in this space, Balboa Press publishes articles written by our authors in which they share some aspect of their self-publishing journeys. These are the words of Elizabeth Sullivan, author of “The Age of Ascension”. For more information about Elizabeth, check out her website and her Facebook pages here and here. Writing as a spiritual practice is something that most writers already understand but let’s take that concept one step deeper to the core of the practice so that the understanding expands into a greater awareness of the true benefit of writing. This deeper understanding will enhance and encourage your writing practice.
All spiritual practices facilitate wisdom retrieval through connecting with Spirit. Writing as a spiritual practice provides an expansive and illuminating framework that allows you to access your own unique vault of wisdom. Once accessed the wisdom must be translated into the written word. This translation process is where you are elucidating through your perspective and perception all that you know to be true. If your intention is to be helpful, and you are clear in your translation, then the words that you share will be beneficial to others as they are infused with your light.
In order to have a clear channel of inspiration it is important to utilize whatever tools are necessary to start the flow. There are many ways to clear the lens of your perception so that wisdom from your Spirit flows into words on the page. A short period of silence and stillness along with intentions, mantras, visualization, calling on non-physical Teachers and helpers are all recommendations that I have personally used.
Meditation, contemplation or any practice that quiets the mind, inner critic and ego are the best ways that I know to keep your creative channel clear of debris. The idea is to access the voice of Spirit so that what you share with the world through the written word is helpful. It is a win/win scenario when you benefit from your writing practice AND it helps others on their journey through life.
The new earth (Gaia) has birthed, ushering in a Golden Age of Light as was detailed in my book. As Gaia ascends further we will all understand better how to create win/win scenarios in every aspect of our life. Until that time, it behooves each one of us to endeavor to create these situations through the expanded consciousness that results from our spiritual practices, such as writing. Win/lose scenarios, though common, are no longer acceptable if we want to evolve into permanently perceiving through the ascended frequency.
There is no better time than right now to access your wisdom and share it through a spiritual writing practice. Publishing your work is an important part of making the wisdom available to any who would benefit from it. Self-publishing is a wonderful option because it gets your writing out into the world in a short amount of time. Traditional publishing can take many months to years to share new information and writings.
The purpose of life is simply to love. In order to do so in the most expansive and unconditional way, we need to learn about the self. Writing as a spiritual practice allows you to tap into your internal wisdom and thereby assists in fulfilling life’s purpose. Self-publishing offers an easy and convenient way to share what you have learned!
